Telecom Ministry is learnt to have cleared the Rs.3,500-crore 4G range exchanging bargain between administration suppliers Bharti Airtel and Aircel.
"The range exchanging bargain between Bharti Airtel and Aircel was cleared by the telecom pastor on July 4," an official source told PTI.
As on July 4, Law and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was responsible for the Telecom Ministry too. Bharti Airtel declined remark.

Airtel has gone into a concurrence with Aircel to gain rights to utilize 4G range of Aircel in eight telecom hovers for Rs 3,500 crore.
These circles are Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, the North—East, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
"Airtel was requested that surrender 1.2 Mhz range in Odisha circle for endorsement as it ruptured the range top point of confinement (subsequent to considering Aircel's range). The organization has surrendered 1.2 Mhz range in 1800 Mhz before the arrangement was cleared," the source said.
Around, no player can hold more than 25 for every penny of the aggregate range allotted in that specific administration zone.
Dissident legal counselor Prashant Bhushan, in a letter on July 8, had requested that CBI and ED promptly solidify range held via Aircel, charging that its Malaysian guardian Maxis will "slip away" if the proposed manages Airtel and RCom are permitted to experience.
The CBI has recorded a point by point chargesheet against Aircel/Maxis and its Malaysian proprietor T Ananda Krishnan. Indeed, even ED has recorded bodies of evidence against them and connected properties of previous telecom pastor Dayanidhi Maran, however not that of Maxis, the letter said.
