Gujarat police have captured Imran Batuk, one of the key charged in Godhra butchery case, over 14 years after the assault on Sabarmati Express in which 59 persons, essentially kar sevaks coming back from Ayodhya, were burned to death close Godhra railroad station in Feburary 2002.
The charged was captured from Malegoan in Maharashtra, where he had been concealing after he was fled from Godhra taking after the episode. On Wednesday, he was conveyed to Ahmedabad by the city wrongdoing branch police staff.
"We captured him taking after a tip off in Malegaon. He was stowing away there and was included in illicit sand mining," said a senior officer from the wrongdoing branch.
